Is a pre-cast cement foundation worth the extra investment for new home construction? Any feedback helpful.?

The home will be 2 stories.Location Pittsburgh, PA.l need to know the Pros 
sugar puff
and Cons of a crushed stone footing.Superior Walls is one of the companies

I have seen one contractor use them where i am from.He got a  
domino
great deal because people just dont go for them where i am from. No

concrete footing would scare me . Dont they just caulk the joints where

the pieces are put together.scary.I know its easier to finish ur basement

with them they have boards stuck to the insides of them.If it was me i

would go with 10 inch block slushed full every core with rebar every 4  
foot. Very solid foundation with everything square & straight.I am a  
former full time concrete guy now a carpenter still do concrete on the  
side. You can definately tell the difference between a poured wall or  
superior & block.Everything is true & square with block all the way to the

i live norht of pitts. and have been building foundations for

over 30 years and i just cant endorse a prebuilt foundation in this

climate. too many freeze thaw cycles. all i can say is to ask to see a

list of some foundations in your area that are at least 10 years old and

check them out. 10 in. block is the way to go around here.
